FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves melting of charge with broken glass flux and refining supplementation with pieces of crystalline silicon. Oxygen-containing gas (such as air) is blown through the melt. The charge is supplemented with elemental microadditives such as chromium, nickel, cobalt, iron, etc. The method allows for production of up to 50% of silicate slag containing 1.65% of beryllium. EFFECT: higher content of silicates of beryllium in slag.
