FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE:: method involves installing end-piece 10 into end recess of press tool, inserting central bush 12 into flexible spindle 11, installing said spindle 11 with bush 12 into separable drawholes of pressing tool, radial upsetting of end of spindle 11 during its progressive motion, forcing end of spindle 11 with bush 12 into end-piece 10 followed by moving and pressing end-piece 10 installed in press on spindle 11. Device comprises press tool in the form of longitudinally detachable drawhole with narrowing channel 3. Drawhole comprises two half-bushes 4 with slots interconnected by retainers 6 and flexible members 7. Side walls of half-bushes 4 have chamfers along parting line. End of press tool has recess for fixing and clamping end-piece 10. The narrowing channel 3 accommodates hollow flexible spindle 11 with central bush. Method and device for assembling end-piece with hollow flexible spindle step up labor productivity by eliminating labor-consuming and auxiliary operations involved in tinning wire with solder and transferring flexible spindle and end-piece from one attachment into another. EFFECT: improved standard of assembly achieved by eliminating annealing of cold-worked wires and acid corrosion.. 4 dwg
