FIELD: nuclear engineering. SUBSTANCE: neutron-flux pulses are measured at standard frequencies of 1-50 and 100-5000 Hz and gas leakage is recognized by their time noncoincidence. In addition, number of these pulses, their lifetime, sign of initially introduced reactivity and its time variation character are measured. Reactivity values measured are compared with precalculated ones by means of peripheral computer; comparison section is determined by mean pulse-passage time. Computed axial distribution of reactivity, enable detection of radial area where defective fuel assembly is located. EFFECT: facilitated procedure. 1 dwg
