FIELD: fuel.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of detection of damaged fuel assemblies (FA) of nuclear reactor with a liquid-metal heat carrier. Device includes a cylindrical housing with perforation 2 in the lower part, the upper end of which is sealed with a hole for passage of bubble tube 3 for supply to housing 1 of carrier gas ontop-down. Housing 1 also accommodates a cylindrical plug consisting of two coaxial parts tightly adjacent to each other with their side surfaces. Inner part 4 of the plug is a cylinder with a channel for passage of bubble tube 3. Outer part 5 of the plug is made in the form of a bushing. On external surfaces of parts 4 and 5 of the plug there is at least one screw channel 6 and 7, respectively. Between the upper end of the plug and the blind cover upper cavity 8 is formed, and between the lower end of the plug and the lower edge of housing 1 - lower cavity 9. In housing 1 above perforation 2 there are holes 10 for gas outlet. Sensors of activity of gaseous fission products of radiation detector 11 are installed in the area of upper cavity 8.
EFFECT: technical result is higher accuracy of detecting faulty FA.
