FIELD: suspension separation. SUBSTANCE: method to separate suspension in a settling centrifuge with periodical settling discharge provides suspension feed to a rotor at operating revolution speed, driving centrifuge up to speed by use of fins, generating settling bed of preset value, and dumping clarified liquid phase from the rotor, stopping initial suspension feed, and settling discharge. Settling discharge is carried out during rotor revolution by means of feeding several portions of flushing liquid to the surface of residual liquid phase after stopping initial suspension feed at the level of its dumping. Each flushing liquid portion is fed within 2 to 3 s to subject the settling with water hammer. EFFECT: periodical settling discharge. 1 dwg
