DEVICE FOR SEPARATION OF SUSPENSIONS Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

Abstract RU 2249488 C2

FIELD: chemical industry; metallurgy; food and other industries; devices for separation of suspensions.

SUBSTANCE: the invention belongs to the field of methods and equipment of separation of liquid heterogeneous systems for factions with the help of a centrifugal field. Implementation: systems of oil purification in chemical, metallurgical, food and other industries. The centrifugal machine contains a body with collectors of fugate and settlings and a mounted inside it on the power-driven shaft rotor having an internal finned insert, a channel of feeding a suspension and a window for a withdrawal of fugate. Inside the rotor there is a cavitation ultrasonic transmitter of periodical action forming a muddy cavity between its emitting surface and a wall of the rotor. All points of the emitting surface are located outside the cylindrical surface formed at rotation of the rotor by an imaginary direct line drawn in parallel to the axis of the rotor rotation through the most spaced from this axis(axes) point of a window for withdrawal of the fugate. On the emitting surface there are uniformly distributed and fed by the universal hypersonic electrical generator through a high-frequency current collector the hypersonic magnetostrictive or piezoelectric vibrators of different frequencies. They create in the field of the rotor muddy cavity (MC) maximum diameter a hypersonic field with an amplitude value of the sound pressure РA=(2,0-2,5)·Р, where Р is pressure in the liquid phase of the suspension in the given area of the rotor MC. The centrifugal machine allows to speed up the process of the settlings unloading from the rotor as the process is performed at rotation of the rotor and under action of the above-stated parameters on the liquid phase in the rotor and on the settlings causing cavitation of the liquid phase by the hypersonic field up to full destruction of the settling layer of the given depth.

EFFECT: the invention allows to speed up the process of the settlings unloading from the rotor.
