FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: variator has driven shaft 3 carrying disk 7, plate 9 positioned in parallel with disk 7 and covering half the diameter of disk 7 so that working space 10 is defined, and flexible endless link 4 positioned within working space 10 onto sprocket 6, which is fixed on drive shaft 2. The later is mounted for displacement in casing in parallel with its own axis along diameter line. Inlet regulating member positioned at opposite side is connected through tie-rod 28 with control bar 25, which is connected through tie-rod 27 with drive shaft 2. Flexible link 4 has pivot joints 11, where retaining end members 14 are positioned. Retaining end members have working surfaces, engageable with working surface of disk 7, and rollers 16 sliding within working space 10 over surface of plate 9. EFFECT: increased efficiency in varying rotational speed of driven shaft and wider operational capabilities. 8 cl, 6 dwg
