FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: seal is made up as an assembly of axially alined cylindrical bushings. The outer sides of the bushings are provided with screw grooves. Some of the bushings point in one direction and the others point in the opposite direction. The coaxial bushings are mounted by way of race and bellows inside the housing and are pressed to the rotating bushing by a spring mounted on the shaft. The screw grooves may be filled with a consistent lubricant or they may provided with a liquid lubricant supplied by a pump. The lubricant and products of wearing out are removed from the zone of contact of the bushings through the screw grooves due to their inclination when the bushing rotates. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 2 cl, 4 dwg
