METHOD OF LASER ATOMIC-FLUORESCENCE ANALYSIS Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

Abstract SU 1818958 A1

FIELD: quantum optics, element analysis. SUBSTANCE: method includes atomization of sample of examined material, excitation of fluorescence of atoms of determined elements by consistently repeating series of pulses of laser radiation. Number of pulses in each series is equal to number of determined elements. Wave length of exciting radiation in each pulse of series corresponds to element which volatility is higher than that of element to which wave length of exciting radiation of next pulse in series corresponds. Duration of each pulse amounts to value of order of T/2n, where T is duration of each series and n is number of determined elements. Method also involves tuning out after excitation of fluorescence in each element, excitation of background signal by radiation pulse which duration equals duration of pulse of excitation radiation and calculation of content of determined elements with use of graduation dependencies. In this case analytical and background signals are registered by multielement photodetector with spectral analysis of fluorescence radiation and narrowing of spectrum perpendicular to direction of its scanning carried out in advance. Sum of signals of fluorescence radiation of determined element registered on more than one wave length may be used as analytical signal. EFFECT: expanded number of elements determined in one sample without decrease of limits of their detection, enhanced validity of results of analysis. 3 dwg
