FIELD: methods for increasing activity of zeolite-containing catalysts applicable in petrochemical industry for production of aromatic hydrocarbons from C3-C4 paraffins. SUBSTANCE: catalyst containing 2% of gallium and ZMS-5 zeolite with binding agent - aluminium oxide in mass ratio of 3:1 are placed in flow reactor and blown at 500-600 C with nitrogen containing at least 0.2% by volume of carbon monoxide or carbon dioxide, or alkanes C1-C4 or carbon monoxide or dioxide, or alkanes C1-C4 for 4-70 h. Then, mixture is blown with nitrogen-oxygen mixture containing 0.2-20% of oxygen for 4-35 h. EFFECT: higher activity and selectivity of catalyst with respect to aromatic hydrocarbons. 1 tbl
