FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: testing continuous is cut in surface of structure to be cut or plate of the same thickness. Depth of nick is increased uniformly up to maximum value equal to thickness of structure. Two identical explosive test charges are put on opposite surfaces of structure or plate. Charges have square cross-section and are put in parallel to each other and at equal distances from line of nick existing at maximum depth. Distance between test charges is determined from given relationship. Then simultaneous blasting of test charges is conducted from side of smaller depth and depth is found in zone of start of cut. Working nick is performed with constant depth which value is not less than obtained depth of test charge. Working explosive charges similar to test ones are placed over surface of structure to be cut opposite to surface with working nick. Positioning of working charges is similar to arrangement of test charges. Working charges are blasted simultaneously. EFFECT: improved cutting efficiency. 2 dwg
