FIELD: powder metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: contact material comprises silver and 8 - 30 per cent of iron. It comprises 1 - 5 wt.% nickel, and 1 - 7 wt.% manganese oxide of MnO composition as alloying additions. Innovation is that the material along with silver, iron, and nickel has manganese oxide of MnO composition increasing wear resistance of contacts to switching. EFFECT: increased wear resistance to switching. 1 tbl
