FIELD: powder metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves preparing mixture of silver powder with graphite and waterless nickel acetate; moistening mixture, mixing, pelletizing by rubbing the mixture through sieve and drying in furnace at 100-150 C in hydrogen flow. Usage of nickel acetate as binder in an amount of 0.5-5% by weight in terms of nickel allows high operating characteristics of contacts obtained from charge to be maintained. EFFECT: increased quality of charge by improved distribution of components, flowability of mixture and high quality of contacts manufactured from this charge. 2 tbl
