FIELD: test technique; determining and predicting corrosion wear of equipment. SUBSTANCE: device has perforated case 1, cover 2, bottom 3, partitions 4. Case accommodates tube 5. Each section houses magnetic disk 6 enclosed in protective capsule 7. Each encapsulated magnetic disk is to be secured on loose ends of analyzed members 8, 9, 10 of predetermined thickness; partition is used to mount other ends of analyzed members. Tube incorporates post 11 with reed relays 12 functioning to record variations in magnetic field. Tube 5 is displaced towards parallel axis of case through λ value. Corrosion of members 8, 9, 10 causes falling down of capsule 7 with magnetic disk 6, reed relays record change in position of disk 6, and console 13 displays signal of failure of standard whose thickness di equals desired corrosion tolerance. EFFECT: improved reliability. 2 dwg
