FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: peculiarity of proposed drive lies in reducing kinematic and assembling errors. In the drive of metal-cutting machine tool the members of pair screw 7 - nut 8 are kinematically connected by different transmission mechanisms with single primary link, that is spindle 1. In this case part of transmission mechanism of nut, that is system of gear wheels 9, 10, 11 is made united and movable in axial direction. It results in using the similar variety of precision chains at fixed axial position of screw 7 and shifting but 8, that is in using the principle of machining with shifting tool when blank is fastened in spindle 1. The innovation allows to correct pitch errors (temperature errors, production errors) at the expense of changing the transmission ratio of chain by means of introducing replaceable gear wheels with rated number of teeth required for correcting the error. EFFECT: enhanced high accuracy of lathe, thread-cutting and finishing works. 3 dwg
