FIELD: oil producing industry. SUBSTANCE: method for development of high-viscosity oil pools includes initiation of burning process, creation of foam system fringe after setting of stable burning place, by injection of aqueous solution of surfactant and air, and displacement of hot oil with cold water. Foam systems are produced additionally before initiation of burning and after completion of burning process. Prior to injection of aqueous solution of surfactant, fresh water is injected. EFFECT: increased sweep of formation by treatment and prevention of formation of stable emulsion in recovered product. 2 tbl
