DEVICE FOR FORMATION OF FIBROUS PRODUCT Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: device for formation of fibrous product includes body 1, tapered fairnig 5 and condensing member 8 with formation zone and removal zone. Gap 6 between wall of body 1 and tapered fairing 5 is made in form of slotted cylinder. Outlet hole 3 is displaced relative to center of removal zone in direction of rotation of condensing member 8. The latter is made in form of thickened ring. Versions of design of device members are possible. Fiber and air mixture is fed through pipeline 4 to hollow of body 1. Fibers are reoriented in gap 6 and are arranged parallel to condensing member 8 on the surface of tapered fairing 5. Fibers are straightened over surface of tapered fairing 5 and uniformly distributed over perimeter and, without changing their orientation, pass over to condensing member 8. Formed sliver is tangentially removed from condensing member 8 with concurrent drawing and brought out through outlet hole 3 with the help of rollers. EFFECT: higher quality of formed product due to increased grade of straightening and parallelization of fibers. 5 cl, 6 dwg
