FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: alternative gear has hemisphere driving and driven pulleys and connecting member-satellite mounted for permitting mutual movement and rotation about the axes and interacting through a gear made up as teeth and hollows. The driving and driven pulleys are cylindrical and mounted for permitting mutual movement. One of the end faces of the pulleys are provided with uniformly spaced projections. To provide gearing a ball member is used. The ball member is provided with uniformly spaced hollows and supported by rollers with hyperbolic surface of rotation. The teeth and hollows are arranged in the radial direction. The mechanism for shifting gears comprises gear rack coupled with the lever for gear shifting through the axle of the gear wheel. EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
