FIELD: machine tool manufacture. SUBSTANCE: cams 2 displaced by wedge coupling 4 with a drive from traction 5 are mounted in housing 1. The coil of electromagnet 6 with winding 7 is fastened in the housing. Ferromagnetic colloid 8 limited by seals 9 is inserted into the space between the coil and coupling 4. When the blank is fixed, rod of piston 5 shifts coupling 4, and cams 3 are displaced in the radial direction and are based along the secured surface. In this way the coupling axle does not coincide with the chuck one. This position is fixed during the current supply to winding 7. As this takes place, the ferromagnetic colloid hardens. The expansion of technological possibilities lies in the fact that the chuck can be used as a floating and as a hard one allowing to fix the blank center in the process of treatment. EFFECT: expanded technological possibilities. 2 dwg
