FIELD: machine tool manufacture. SUBSTANCE: spindle 1 in hydrodynamic props 2 is equipped with a chuck consisting of two parts 3 and 4. Part 4 can shift relative to part 3 if the force on traction 5 is lessened. Workpiece 6 is clamped in cams 7. In a general case the axle O1-O1 of surface 8 of the workpiece does not coincide with the axle 0 - 0 of the spindle rotation. Rod of piston 9 with roller 10 is fastened on the lathe support. Bar 11 of the magnetostrictive material embraced by coil 12 is mounted on the spindle head. Capture 13 connected with power cylinder 15 by traction 14 is made on the bar end. After the workpiece is fastened, roller 10 is supplied to surface 8. Then spindle 1 is slowly rotated and its angular position is fixed at the maximum force determined by the pressure in hydrostatic props 2 by means of a dynamometric device connected with these props. The error of the workpiece installation in the chuck cams is determined by the force. Then the force on tractions 5 is lessened and power cylinder 15 is switched on. Capture 13 rigidly engages bar 11 with movable part 4 of the chuck. The current of the calculated strength is fed to coil 12, bar 11 is lengthened and shifts movable part 4 by the necessary value. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy. 2 dwg
