DEVICE TO FIX TOOLS ON SPINDLE OF MACHINE Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

FIELD: machine tool manufacture. SUBSTANCE: device has tool holder 1 with centering cone 2, on rear butt of which flat base surface 3 is made. Flat base surface 3 is designed to couple with matching surface 4 on butt of spindle. Membrane 7 with inner conical surface 8 is fixed in drilling on butt of spindle. Conical surface 8 is designed to mate surface of centering cone 2. During holder 1 tightening by tail end 9 with the help of catch of machine tool clamping mechanism the base surfaces of holder are mating due to membrane deformation and holder is based on spindle with high accuracy. In the case pollution of the surfaces is prevented, that stimulates increase of accuracy of basing. Other versions of the device allow to use it on machine tools, that are now in operation.
