FIELD: laser engineering; continuous-action gas-dynamic laser units for national economy and scientific research.
SUBSTANCE: proposed gas producer primarily used for gas-dynamic laser has ballast-producing assembly and combustion chamber with casing, mixing head, flame jacket, and pipes for feeding working-medium components. Mixing head has fire bottom, external wall, internal space, and spray nozzles. Flame jacket is installed for longitudinal displacement within combustion chamber casing. One of its ends is secured close to ballast-producing assembly and its opposite end is connected to mixing head. In addition, inner space of mixing head is divided into two compartments by means of perforated partition. First compartment closest to combustion chamber is separated from the latter by mixing-head fire bottom and communicates with space formed by combustion-chamber casing and flame jacket. Second compartment is formed by partition and external wall facing the channel feeding hot working-medium component. First and second compartments are intercommunicating through annular passages.
EFFECT: enhanced operating reliability when handling main preheated working-medium components.
