FIELD: technology for static testing of sample of cover structure of various materials, primarily, of polymer and carbon-carbon materials.
SUBSTANCE: for realization of method, pressure is formed in hollow, balanced by external forces and then pressure and deformation are measured, on basis of which properties of cover are evaluated. Balancing of pressure by external forces is performed by application of load, evenly distributed along end of cover on the side of lesser base and is changed during testing in accordance to law for changing pressure in hollow. Sample for tests has working part, reinforcing end piece rigidly connected to working part on the side of lesser base of cone with smooth transition from end piece to working part. End of end piece is made conical, axis of cone of which coincides with axis of cover, while generating lines are mutually perpendicular. Testing device contains hollow core, plugs of varying diameters connected to the latter, with collars, elastic chamber, held between core and plugs, and also means for putting pressure on core and chamber. Also, device contains barrel-like stop, held on core, and protective insert on external surface of elastic chamber.
