FIELD: measuring instruments.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in manufacturing of precision spherical gas-dynamic bearings made of beryllium and strengthened by a wear resistance coating film. In order to form a running clearance in spherical gas-dynamic bearings, their bearing surfaces are treated, after preliminary mechanical lapping of the bearing surfaces of the parts before applying the wear resistant coating thereon, by means of their powered movement relative to one another with a layer of a granular abrasive material between them, the size of abrasive grains of which is selected from the formula: N = C + 2t, where: N - size of abrasive grains, C - running clearance of a spherical gas-dynamic bearing, t - thickness of the applied wear resistant coating.
EFFECT: enhancing the technological effectiveness of manufacturing.
