FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises determining angular velocity of rotation of fitting the gas dynamic support and applying a tin layer of artificial diamonds on the working surfaces of the gas dynamic support. The thickness of the layer is determined from the formula t = 1.5 k ω2 max, where t is the thickness of coating, ωmax is the angular velocity of fitting the gas dynamic support, and k is the coefficient of operation conditions of the gas dynamic support.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
