SUBSTANCE: invention relates to direction-finding means and can be used in systems for illuminating the surrounding thermal environment. A thermal imager comprises, arranged in series and optically interfaced, an input lens, a scanning mirror with a reducing gear and an actuating electric motor, a linear radiation energy detector with N elements and power supply units, N electronic switches, an amplifier, a video monitor, a synchroniser, the first N-1 delay lines and second N-1 delay lines. All the listed components are connected to each other in a certain manner, wherein the delay times of the delay lines connected with the same switch are equal.
EFFECT: high image quality.
