FIELD: optoelectronic engineering; two- dimensional infrared-to-visible image converters of high spatial resolution. SUBSTANCE: thermal image frame of n x m format is modulated using special structure raster along lines by periodic carrier signals F(ωit+ϕi), and initial phases ϕij in one line at different columns should either coincide or differ by π.. Frame is received by m-element photodetector with n-fold frequency multiplexing of signal. Multiplexed signals obtained beyond image are frequency-selected along m columns by multiplying them by G(ωit+ϕi) signals orthogonal at [O, T] interval to carrier signals and by integrating at this interval.
