FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: in order to detoxicate patients with peroral poisoning, a sorbent mixed with water-glycerine solution is introduced through probe into stomach or small intestine. Then peristalsis of gastroenteric tract is stimulated, or intestinal lavage is carried out to the point of diarrhea. The use of glycerine in the capacity of emulsifier permits introduction of sorbent through probe and sorption of hydrophilic substances in gastroenteric tract while stimulation of peristalsis and intestinal lavage improve contact of sorbent with toxic substances throughout the length of intestine. EFFECT: ensuring enterosorption in patients with heavily intoxicated with hydrophilic poisons.
