DEVICE FOR TREATMENT OF USED MERCURY-CONTAINING GLASS ARTICLES Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

Abstract RU 2005567 C1

FIELD: removal of pollutants from environment. SUBSTANCE: device has airtight body, charging part for articles, mechanism for glass article destruction, system for suction substances in suspended state, container for collecting of products of destruction located in lower part of body, tank filled with fluid washing off deposits of mercury or its compounds. Tank comes in container for collection of destruction products, and, in its turn, accommodated centrifuge open from its top and having clearance relative to its walls. Centrifuge operates at high and low rotation speeds. Destroyed products from destructing mechanism are fed to centrifuge. Centrifuge bottom is penetrable for liquid and can be separated from centrifuge in vertical direction to form gap. Tank and centrifuge are arranged successively to each other so that, first, centrifuge is placed in washing fluid and operates at slow rotation for mixing destruction products and their cleaning, and then, centrifuge is separated from washing fluid and operates at high rotation speed for drying destruction products with subsequent separating of tank and centrifuge within container for collection of products of destruction and formation of gap between centrifuge and its bottom for disposal of destruction products under action of centrifugal forces into container for their collection. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 4 dwg
