SUBSTANCE: invention relates to salvaging production wastes of the 1st class of danger and may be used for collection, transportation and temporary storage of used and destructed energy-saving luminescent mercury-containing lamps for their disposal. Invention aims at ruling out environments contamination by mercury in collection, transportation and storage of energy-saving lamps. Container for collection and transportation of mercury-containing lamps comprises lamp collection and transportation tank and tight elastic insert arranged inside said tank. Insert edge is arranged oversized on tank outer side. In compliance with one version, container is provided with moving second bottom arranged inside the tank and on damping spring and cover with inner O-ring. Height of second bottom lift is limited by retainer. Cover comprises union with plug intended for feeding anti-mercury solution and opening to collect lamps in the tank closed by outer shutter made from dust-and moisture-proof material and/or shutters arranged inside the cover and representing overlapped metal plates furnished with return springs.

EFFECT: ruling out contamination of environments by mercury compounds.
