FIELD: treating plastics. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has container 2 mounted on stand 1, charging hopper 8 for moulded material, cutter 5 with a drive for overlapping charging opening of the container, and pressing unit with punch 9 and matrix 10. The apparatus is provided with a divider for cutting rods of a given length. The divider is made of a cantilever rigidly secured to the stand beyond the outlet opening of the punch and has a guide made of a chute and lever. Two knifes are fitted on the axle of the lever. One of the knifes is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the matrix and the other one is inclined at an acute angle to the longitudinal axis. The cutter is made of a race with cut-outs concentrically mounted on a conveyer. The race is mounted for rotation about a container by a drive. EFFECT: improved design. 5 dwg
