FIELD: inorganic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: a diluted solution of sodium silicate is atomized by a nozzle at 70-80 C and added to a dilute clear mother liquor derived from the production of Al(OH)3 by the Buyer process. The spontaneously precipitated material in the mother liquor at 70-80 C is subjected to the ripening process until a finely crystalline powdery 4A type zeolite is formed having a granulometric composition in which d50 is not greater than 3 micros. EFFECT: improved properties of the zeolite.
