FIELD: fiber-optic communication lines. SUBSTANCE: optic cable has optic fiber bundles, metallic envelope made in the form of a pipe, longitudinally wound steel wires, dielectric envelope made of polyethylene and steel clayey pipe disposed over the optic fiver bundles and made of continuous sequence of sections. Each section of the clayey pipe is made is the form of two rigidly coupled hollow members with spherical concentric outer and inner surfaces a distance between centers of which is less than a sum of radial of outer spherical surfaces of the members, radius of inner surface of a greater member being equal to radius of outer surface of smaller member. Smaller member of each section is mounted such that can contact with inner surface of greater member of subsequent section by its outer surface. The metallic envelope is press-fit on the steel wires.
