FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: converter has supply voltage rectifier bridge built around diodes 1-4, commercial-frequency inverter built around switching elements 5 and 6 with power transformer 7 whose secondary winding is connected to input of high-frequency rectifier bridge employing diodes 8-11; it also has ripple filter built up of choke 12 and capacitor 13, and control unit 14. Rectifiers are connected at their output in series and they are connected to input of filter whose output is connected to load. EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities. 2 dwg
