FIELD: paper-and-pulp industry. SUBSTANCE: gas condensates are purified from sulfur-containing compounds (hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptan, dimethyl sulfide, turpentine) by oxidizing in a liquid phase with a catalyzer. Purification process is carried out at pH of 7-12, at a temperature of 90 C, at a gas condensate to air volumes ratio equal to 1: 7, and with a catalyzer. The catalyzer includes carbonaceous material, cupric oxide, transition metals oxides. The conversion extent is up to 100% . The reaction products are non-toxic water-soluble sulfates and sulfonates.
