FIELD: agriculture, fish industry. SUBSTANCE: invention deals with purification of water and sewage in aeration tanks and with use of purified water in fisheries, in circulating water supply systems and in irrigation farming. Sewage supplied into aeration tanks is additionally saturated with air delivered into draw-in zone with injectors installed in pressure pipe-lines. Supply of aerated sewage into lower or upper part of aeration tank is performed in succession with time intervals determined by condition of stirring of sludge. Effective aeration of all layers of water over the whole height of aeration tank takes place due to supply of air at different elevations of water column and active stirring of sludge occurs thanks to flow of water along perimeter of aeration tank.
