FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: engine has body 1 with inlet connection 3, cylinder 5 with guide slot 6 and exhaust port 8, output shaft 13 installed coaxially with cylinder 5. Shaft 13 has axial channel 18 and inlet hole 19. Outlet radial holes 20 communicate with axial channel 18. Inlet hole 19 is made for periodical communication with inlet connection 3. Outlet radial holes 20 and axial channel 18 are made for communication with under-piston space 17. Made on side surface of output shaft 13 is curvilinear guide 14 engaging with roller 15. The latter is arranged on piston pin 12. Piston 9 is held from turning by roller 21 fitted in boss 11 on piston pin 12. Piston 9 is fitted in cylinder to form variable volume above-piston and under-piston spaces. Such design makes it possible to use engine in multicylinder modular internal combustion engines.
