FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: method relates to measurement of volume of spaces of intricate configuration. Blasting of explosive containing aluminium in predetermined amount is performed in measured space. Desired volume is determined by concentrations of oxide and dioxide of carbon, hydrogen, methane, nitrogen oxide, nitrogen and oxygen in space immediately after blasting. Correction in introduced with allowance for relation of concentrations of nitrogen and oxygen in space before blasting. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy and reliability of method.
