FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining, primarily to coal industry. Method involves sampling coal in the working face, experimental determination of the volatile substances output, coal sorption, ignition temperature of explosive components and composition of gases in pit mine environment. Additionally, sulfur-containing elements in coal and energy of bonds of hydrocarbon gases are determined, the ignition criterion of mixtures is minimum values of ignition temperature of sulfur-containing components and energy of gas bonds rupture, wherein sorption values are determined minus the coal mass of sulfur-containing substances. Positive effect is achieved due to determination of sulfur-containing elements in coal, energy of gas bonds breaking, index of lower limit of ignition of component of hybrid mixture, values of Langmuir equation.
EFFECT: invention can be used for forecasting explosive substances in mines during development of gas-bearing coal beds, in particular, for forecasting sulfur-containing substances with sharply varying thermodynamic properties, especially since mixture of hydrogen sulphide-containing gases with air is explosive.
