FIELD: nondestructive tests of building structures. SUBSTANCE: nondestructive method for strength tests of building structures involves determination of point of probable maximum displacement prior to loading structure, then permanent mechanical load is applied 5 to 10 times, not to exceed its maximum value and amount of displacement is taken into account in determining maximum load. EFFECT: reduced labor consumption and enlarged field of application due to provision for testing structures made of not only polymeric materials but also from any other materials having linear load-to-strain dependences. 3 dwg
