FIELD: ornithopters. SUBSTANCE: ornithopter has body 1 with bases 7, 8, wings 10, 11 hinged to them, a fuel reservoir, a drive which, in turn, has engine 15, pump 18 and cylinders which rods are connected to wings 10, 11. The ornithopter also has a wing fastening mechanism made in the form of coaxial shafts mounted in body 1, wings 10, 11 are made in the form of rigid frames 22 in which windows 23 rotatable flaps with stroke limiters are fastened to axles. Two flaps are mounted on each axle, the stroke limiters are made in the form of projections located in the middle of the flap, the projections of each pair are engageable with each other when connected. Body 1 is made in the form of a sealed nacelle, bases 7, 8 are made rotatable relative to the nacelle at an angle no less than 90, the cylinders are fastened to rotatable bases 7, 8. Drive engine 15 is mechanically connected to pump 18 in the form of a hydraulic or pneumatic unit with pneumatic or hydraulic accumulator 19. The reservoir is made of no less than two tanks 16, 17 mounted on both sides of the center of gravity of the ornithopter. EFFECT: widened scope of application and reduced metal usage. 3 cl, 3 dwg
