SUCTION-TUBE DREDGER Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: mining of mineral resources. SUBSTANCE: suction-tube dredger has U-shaped upper and lower scows. Each of them is fabricated out of two hulls interconnected with cross-pieces. Upper scow carries suction pipe with suction dredge and lowering and hoisting mechanisms. Dredge is provided with guiding supports passed through holes of hulls of scows. Upper scow is placed for vertical movement and fixing with respect to guiding supports. Vessel with partition is located between hulls of upper scow. Bow part of lower scow of suction-tube dredger carries plate. Wall is hinged for turning in stern part on lower scow of suction-tube dredger. Plate and wall are mounted for vertical movement. Hulls of lower scow has ducts for installation of guiding supports. EFFECT: simplified design, enhanced efficiency. 3 cl, 6 dwg
