FIELD: refrigerating engineering. SUBSTANCE: accumulating cooler comprises heat-insulated reservoir and circulating circuit for service fluid which is constituted by nonfreezing water-insoluble liquid whose density is higher than that of water. Circulating circuit comprises pump, fluid distributor disposed on bottom along side wall of reservoir, fluid outlet pipe union mounted at opposite side wall, and fluid cooler consisting of corrugated vertical plates with vertical ribs, and sprinkler for delivery of fluid on both sides of said plates. Accumulating cooler also has service water supply system connected to circulating circuit. In cold season, an ice block is built up in reservoir while in warm season service fluid in circulating circuit is replaced by water which is then supplied for process needs. EFFECT: higher efficiency and economy. 1 dwg
