FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: content of lipid-bound sialic acid (LSA), DNA and specific activity of DNA-binding proteins are measured in blood of patients with myelodisplastic syndrome in connection with minimal bone marrow blastosis (less than 10% blast cells). Acute leukosis is diagnosed in the case of simultaneous change all three indices (LSA content is increased up to 0,2 g/l and above, DNA - up to 7,5 micro g/l and DNA-binding proteins is decreased up to 14 U/mg protein and above). Method ensures to provide early detection of acute leukosis in patients with myelodisplastic syndrome. EFFECT: improved method of diagnosis. 1 tbl
