FIELD: cleaning of industrial gases. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has cylindrical-conical shell with tangential gas-supply, gas-discharge and dust-discharge branch pipes. Outlet tube is mounted axially of shell. Internal space of shell is divided into dust-containing gas chamber and clean gas chamber by filtering unit, which has a set of sections made by gas-permeable and gas-impermeable walls, with cavity between them being filled with filtering material. Deflector formed as truncated cone, whose smaller base is oriented upward, is disposed in dust-containing gas chamber below filtering unit. Deflector is positioned in spaced relation with respect to shell and filtering unit. Deflector upper edge is disposed at the level of lower gas-permeable wall of filtering unit lower section. Lower edge of outlet tube is disposed at the same level. EFFECT: increased efficiency by preliminary separation of coarse fraction of dust, reduced hydraulic resistance and elimination of secondary entrainment of caught dust from hopper at the moment of regeneration. 3 cl, 1 dwg
