FIELD: cathode-luminescent-screen displays. SUBSTANCE: the powdered cathode-luminescent material containing zinc or cadmium sulfide is dispersed in aqueous solution of potassium silicate. To the resulting suspension there are added solution of zinc sulfate or aluminum sulfate and surface-active agent such as C-10-type surfactant. The resulting suspended mixture is stirred, allowed to thaw out, washed and decanted. An additional portion of potassium silicate solution is added to the residue, and the resulting suspension is decanted. An additional portion of aqueous solution containing oxyethylendiphosphonic acid is added to the residue to maintain neutral pH value of the suspension. The precipitated residue is filtered of and dried. The end product has sedimentation capacity 24.25 cm3/g. EFFECT: improved quality of cathode-luminescent material. 1 tbl
