FIELD: biochemistry, enzymology. SUBSTANCE: collagenase from crab hepatopancreas is isolated by homogenization, separation of supernatant by centrifugation and precipitation of enzyme with ammonium sulfate. Then ion-exchange chromatography on aminated silicate materials is carried out at pH 5.2-6.4, and collagenase is eluted with buffer solution containing 1M NaCl and 15-25% isopropanol, pH 7.0-8.5. Enzyme is isolated from eluate at saturation with ammonium sulfate up to 60% . Yield of collagenase is at 40-fold purification degree. EFFECT: improved method of collagenase isolation. 2 cl, 1 tbl
