FIELD: mechanical engineering; engine. SUBSTANCE: engine has body, at least two cylinders, pistons, above-piston chambers communicating through bypass channel and charge ignition device installed in one of chambers. Mechanism providing reciprocating motion of pistons has no connecting rods and it is made in form of supporting journals with cheeks installed in engine body. Cheeks are provided with holes eccentric relative to journal axis. Trunnions of shafts are freely fitted in holes. Each shaft has balance weight installed on its crank for reciprocating in body guides arranged in plane of shaft axes. Piston stroke S is equal to (0.6-2.5)A where a is distance between cylinder axes. Displacement ΔS of piston is equal to (0.05-0.09)S. Balance weights are installed for movement in antiphase. Guides in body are made in form of cylinder. Center of gravity of each balance weight is displaced from axis of shaft crank on which balance weight is installed through distance a equal to (0.3-0.4)L from engine longitudinal axis, where L is length of balance weight.
