FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: diesel engine fuel pulse delay device (mechanism to control fuel delivery commencement) arranged between fuel injection pump and injection provides transmission of pressure pulse between fuel injection pump and injector with adjustable delay. Fuel delivery commencement control mechanism is essentially spring-loaded differential piston 4 arranged in housing and forming together with housing variable volume chamber 2, drain chamber 8 and control chamber 7. Variable volume chamber 2 communicates with fuel injection pump through inlet channel 1 and with injector, through outlet channel 3 with delivery valve. Drain chamber 8 has drain channel 11, and control chamber 7 has inlet channel 12 and outlet channel 15 with check valves 13 and 14 installed, respectively, in channels.
