FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fuel equipment of internal combustion engines, namely, to methods of operation and devices of fuel feed accumulator delivering fuel into combustion chambers of diesel engine. According to proposed method, fuel is delivered into pressure accumulator by electrically operated high-pressure fuel pump built around piezoactuator of volumetric principle of operation, and pressure in accumulator is regulated by changing differential characteristics of control signal supplied to piezoactuator. Used in device implementing proposed method is high-pressure fuel pump made on piezoactuator of volumetric principle of operation and it contains additionally control pulse generator functionally coupled with automatic control system and with piezoactuator.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of fuel feed system owing to simplified design of system, increased reliability and provision of quick response.
